About Karen's Artistic Touches
The inspiration for my business began in 2005 when I sought to create a lighter and more stylish necklace ID badge holder. I bought the necessary supplies and taught myself how to craft a beaded version. Since then, I’ve continued to make these unique items. One of my proudest achievements is designing a space-themed lanyard for a NASA employee that is now on the International Space Station.
In 2010, I faced a challenging battle with breast cancer. During this difficult time, my online store became a source of motivation and purpose, encouraging me to keep going even on the hardest days. It was then that I designed a comprehensive line of cancer awareness jewelry, featuring ribbons in all colors. Although I primarily create custom orders now, I still offer these meaningful pieces upon request.
Over the years, my passion for jewelry-making has grown and evolved into the thriving business it is today. I have expanded my skills to include wire weaving and have also embraced my love for painting through the creation of Mandala Dot Art. In addition, I have included my love for crochet with stuffed animals, toys and many different items. This artistic journey continues to inspire me and brings joy to my customers.
